Along with construction projects and food deliveries, we are involved in other programs that impact children, families and ultimately communities. Every week we have our Kids Friends Club in a park in the neighborhood of El Colli. The program offers a time where children from the area gather to learn valuable lessons, hear uplifting music, create crafts and compete to win prizes. We have hosted the Kids Friends Club in this neighborhood for over 15 years. We have replicated this type of program in other neighborhoods and churches as well. Being heavily invested in the lives of the families, we see the needs that are represented. Many families in these neighborhoods do not have vehicles or the money to take care of some of their basic needs. We have taken families to different doctors, dentists and therapists to tend to their physical and emotional well-being. Additionally, we have helped families obtain official documents from government agencies, such as birth certificates and marriage licenses. Several times a year we host week long camps in partnership with USA volunteer teams. These highly interactive camps positively impact the community and everyone enjoys the fun.
