One of our favorite things to do is to help people in practical ways. For many years we have been able to help children and their families obtain food, personal hygiene items, clothing, shoes, school supplies, books, backpacks, toys, and other resources. Especially during the last 2 years for families that were unemployed due to Covid-19, we weekly delivered food, milk and other necessities. There is very little government assistance for marginalized families in Mexico. Certain times of the year we like to make special gift bags for the children to remind them that someone is thinking of them and that they are important. With some of our very needy families, we’ve been able to provide them washing machines and other appliances, even installing a metal door to protect the family and the newly donated items.  In addition to providing food and special gifts, we have taken several trips to different schools all throughout Mexico to supply the teachers and classrooms with resources and materials. When it’s not easy to get to some hard to reach mountainous areas, we send boxes of educational materials to help teachers teach their students.
