As former school teachers we understand the importance of education and how it can positively impact lives and change communities. Julie and I met while teaching at the same school in NJ in 1994. We love education and value the hope that it provides. Unfortunately, learning at an adequate school and getting an education is not an option for everyone in Mexico. In fact, many children in Mexico never learn to read or write. Many schools are extremely under budgeted, leaving them in need of classroom resources and teacher training. Through the years we have helped to build several schools throughout Mexico. In addition to helping build schools, we have also provided teacher training to many schools in small towns and in marginalized neighborhoods.
